Trick and Treats

For the past month and a half, Zoe has informed us that she wanted to be a penguin for Halloween. She might have gotten the idea because she has seen pictures of two Halloween's ago when we dressed her up like a penguin - either that or she just really couldn't think of something she'd rather be besides a penguin. Who can blame her, right?

Pa and Grandma Nancy came over to celebrate with us. I put together just a small snacking feast and then it was time to get her costume on and head out for a warm walk around the neighborhood.

After going to the first neighbors house, we had to pass back by our house to continue down the block - Zoe went up to her Daddy to trick and treat with him.

She was carried a few times by either Pa, Daddy or Mommy (some of the distances between the finished homes are kinda big), but never whined and only wanted to go to "one more house, they have a light on". I think we heard that phrase for at least a dozen houses.

Her candy bucket got a little heavy toward the end, so Daddy carried that while Mommy gave her a piggy-back ride. She was exhausted when we made it back to the house and just wanted to watch one cartoon while cuddling with Daddy on the couch.

Here's to another fun Halloween! It was extra special having my Dad and Nancy here to celebrate with us!
