3 Years and 3 Months

Zoe, you are such a fun kid at 3 Years and 3 Months...
You are no longer a toddler, you are very much a little kid now. From the size of your shoes (which are now a size 10!) to the size of your clothes (no longer a T size but not quiet an x-small size girls).

You have a fantastic imagination, we are amazed every day by this. You play out little scenarios with your Little People, stuffed animals or baby dolls.

You are caring and sweet. You're always trying to take care of us in some way or another. You love to help in the kitchen and get so excited to make special treats. Just the other night, you made pudding, almost all by yourself and were so excited about surprising Daddy.

You still refer to us as "Daddy Dave" and "Mommy Kim". You'll tell any stranger you meet your full name, "Hi, my name is Zoe Marlene B..." and sometimes you even go on to introduce Daddy Dave or Mommy Kim.

You love to play music, you still dance and sing all the time. I find it so cute how you'll get up on your "stage" (which is actually Daddy's guitar case) and help him sing while he's playing the guitar. You make up words and it comes out as if you're singing the blues.

Over the past month you've excelled at puzzles, even complicated puzzles. We found a fun dinosaur puzzle (48 piece) for you a few weeks ago and you've mastered it. We figured you'd need help with it, but you are so fascinated with it and have completed it several times all by yourself.

We've been taking walks and you've been riding your tricycle. You love to ride it, thanks to your new school, you've finally gotten the hang of peddling. Next step is to teach you how NOT to use the brakes on your bigger bike so we can move past the tricycle.

School has been going very well, you made the adjustment to the new school with no real issues. You've made friends and you seem to like your teachers you have throughout the day. You're never ready to leave when I get there and have to say goodbye to your friends several times before we can leave. Sometimes you even give hugs and kisses to your favorite friends.

With all the good I've mentioned, I need to be honest about some of the bad, too. We are working on your little attitude you've developed. When you get tired you tend to show Mommy's bad attitude. We hear "NO" or "leave me 'lone", which you know are not ok. You do throw little fits of disgust when you don't get your way, we're also working on that. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, we see the tears and hear the cries. I'm not too concerned about this and we're working through it, I'm sure it's just one of the many, many times we'll have little attitude adjustments. You are, after all, my offspring.

Love,
Mommy Kim
