We've heard so much about a local farm in Queen Creek that holds an annual fall festival, we finally got to check it out this year. Zoe had fun picking out our pumpkins for the year. She also got to ride an old fashioned carousel, slide down a giant tube slide, eat a hot dog, shoo away bees, pet a couple pigs and goats, offer hay to a burrow and waddle through the pumpkin patch. It was fun, a bit hot, but an enjoyable afternoon.
I have to admit, coming from the midwest as we do, not much can impress us in the way of farms. We've seen some spectacular farms, animals, fields and such back home. We opted against the pony ride as it just wouldn't have been that fun after the rides she got at the Graber's. And the cows are much happier at the Ellis farm, we noted. And Fall just isn't the same when it's 90+ degrees outside and we have to worry about Zoe being in the sun too long.
(I may be a bit homesick for Indiana/Missouri, sorry if I come across ungrateful)

Yes, Shorts and sleeveless shirts don't quite fit the picture of picking out pumpkins for halloween. Oh well, you know snow will be missing for Christmas also. however the rest of the 363 days in the year are wonderful.

Best of all Pa will be there all winter.
