Our sweet Nenee passed away on Monday morning, February 7th, so we headed to Indiana Tuesday morning to be with family and attend the funeral.
At our lunch stop, McDs of course, Zoe asked to exchange one of the happy meal My Little Ponies for one she didn't have (purchased for her at the earlier coffee stop). The very nice man let her dig through the box of toys and get the one she wanted... and then he told her to go ahead and take all the ones she didn't have yet! How kind of him. She exclaimed for the next couple hours "This is the best day ever!". hehe
When we arrived at Uncle Robbie's farm, it was just in time to get bundled up and head out to do chores. I didn't get pictures the first night, but was able to snap pretty much the same experiences the 2nd night.
Thursday started out being negative 8 degrees!! We got Zoe really bundled up for a much anticipated ride on Betty. Then it was time to go in and warm up with some hot chocolate. Uncle Robbie had plans for a fun lunch - we just had to wait for Sam and Ali to get home from their classes.
Two little monkeys...
Rob getting beat by Allison on Guitar Hero...
Rob getting beat on some car racing game by Samantha...
We got back to the farm for another ride on Betty. Still very cold out today!
Early on Friday, we headed over to the sledding spot. Jenna got to come along, but insisted on sitting in HER seat, no matter that Zoe was already sitting there. She rode this way all the way over to the sledding spot. Zoe and I had so much fun sledding down that HUGE hill! Uncle Robbie even pulled Zoe up the hill on the sled - what a workout!
Friday night we had dinner over at Grandpa and Grandma Shipe's house with Auntie Di. Zoe was given a quick ballet lesson from Allison's friend Taylor. She learned the first 5 positions..
On the way home Saturday morning, she quickly dug into her Valentine presents that Aunt Gloria got her for the trip back. She colored and then loaded her pez dispenser all by herself!

Oh my, Indiana memories, Nice to look at and even better not to be living there, Rob and the girls look soooooooo good, glad you were able to get back for the funeral. Sad, but rewarding knowing she is with the Lord.
