Over the weekend, there were a few instances where we got a glimpse of the individual that Zoe is becoming. Both occurred at restaurants (perhaps we eat out too much?).
The first happened on Thursday, we were out at our wing restaurant. After the hostess seated us, she introduced herself as our server, Sarah. Zoe spoke up and said "Sarah, I really like your hair." Where in the world did she learn to give compliments like that? I've never heard a 4 year old take notice of something nice about a stranger and give them a compliment.
Then, on Sunday, we were out for a special lunch at Dave and Buster's (the game restaurant) and Zoe spoke up immediately to our server "Hi, I'm Zoe. I really like your fingernails, they are pretty".
I love the little person that she is becoming. I believe there's a lot we can learn from children. This is one of those things:
Give unsolicited compliments to strangers.
