Artwork from last week. I asked Zoe to hold it up for a picture - she's such a ham.
We stopped at Target after school and Zoe was "balancing" on the curb on the way in to the store. I'm trying to get better and not insist on holding her hand on these curbs on the sidewalk so she can balance "all by herself" like she likes to do. Sure enough, I wasn't holding her hand and she wiped out in the stones. She cut her knee up pretty good - and is showing it off proudly below. I wanted to take a picture of her ouchie and all she wanted me to take a picture of were her "pretty pink toes".

Today at school they were celebrating National Reading Day by having a parent volunteer to come in and read "Fox in Sox" by Dr. Seuss (one of our favorites!). They also asked that the kids wear their funnest pair of sox. Zoe and I both wore our brightly colored polka dot socks, even if I wasn't going to be able to go in and read to her class. I love fun socks - but that's another blog post. Anyway, Dave read the book to her class and she just thought that was pretty cool. She made sure everyone knew that was HER daddy. He said at one point in the book, she just laughed and laughed, like "oh DADDY, that's one funny anecdote you just said!"
