Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Zoe spent a lot of time yesterday afternoon constructing a Leprechaun trap for the back porch. She was so excited about the upcoming Irish celebration of St. Patrick's Day! She also loved hearing that the Nana she never met was part Irish and her last name was McNeal - so she knows she's got a little Irish blood in her.

Her trap also had a little "gold coin" (I think it was a penny) to entice the Leprechaun in - she was so sure she'd catch one. So this morning, she was thrilled to find that she had indeed caught one and that he left her 2 quarters to free himself! She built a very fine trap and added her coins to her skateboard fund. (Don't worry, Pa, she can't actually buy her skateboard until she learns how to ride her scooter a little better).

My Great Grandpa Butler came from Kilkenny, Ireland and had a twin brother that stayed there.
