Zoe started attending Ms. Niki's PB&J Preschool today. Ms. Niki and her husband are family friends, Dave grew up with them back in Missouri. She is an amazing person and so full of life and energy, Zoe clicked with her instantly when she met her for the first time back in 2006 when we moved to Phoenix. Yesterday, when Dave dropped Zoe off, Zoe ran up to Ms. Niki and gave her a big hug. She attends for 3 hours a day, 3 days a week. She came home with a folder full of completed assignments and art projects, a detailed report from Ms. Niki, and full of stories and songs that continued the rest of the afternoon, into the evening. Needless to say, Zoe loved her morning at PB&J Preschool and is very excited about going back on Thursday.
Ms. Niki takes a few pictures during their time together to share with the families during pickup time. She was kind enough to email me a few of the pictures from Zoe's first day. Below, Zoe is showing off her Clifford the dog puppet she made (it's Clifford the Dog Week at school) and the other picture was taken for a special Father's Day art project that Zoe got to make for her Daddy.
I think the highlight of Zoe's day was that she gets to take her shoes and socks off in the classroom and that her pink toes matched Ms. Niki's. Or maybe it was that she got to lead the class in the ABC song. Or maybe it was the art projects. Or maybe... :)
