Mommy's Ouchie

April started out with Mommy in the hospital. On Monday (3/31/08), she was convinced to go see her doctor after having belly pains since Sunday morning. Her doctor sent her in to the ER where she spent most of Monday afternoon and evening. Tests were ran, blood was drawn, pain medication was administered and by 10pm, it was determined that she had a large amount of fluid in her abdomen area. Since she still had her appendix, this was the first concern. She was wheeled up to surgery soon after. During the appendectomy, they found that she also had a ruptured ovarian cyst and spent time cleaning out her insides. By 2:30am on Tuesday, she was recovering in her room. I didn't get to see her until after school on Tuesday and she was so happy to see me! I got to sit gently beside her for about 15 minutes and then it was time to go. She finally passed the test late Wednesday after dinner and we were able to pick her up and bring her home. It was after 9pm and I was so determined to make her Jell-O because I knew it would make her better, Daddy had to help me make THREE batches for her that night.

What a way to start out April! She's been recovering at home and finally feeling up to sitting at the computer and catching up on the blog, pictures and videos.

I've had to have several "bandages" put on my belly, too, just like Mommy. I also have to give her lots and lots of kisses on her ouchies because I know it makes her feel better.
