I’m so very proud of my empathetic-beyond-her-years daughter. When I picked Zoe up from school yesterday, the instructor at primetime (after school care program) told me that she overheard a situation that Zoe was involved in.
A few older girls were picking on another girl, Zoe stood up to them and told them that just because Ms. Mary wasn’t nearby it did not give them the right to say mean and hurtful things and it was NOT OK.
She didn’t care that they were older girls. She didn’t care that she may in turn get picked on. She knew it was NOT OK to say mean and hurtful things to another person and she stopped it. My little girl stopped the bully mean girls.
Yes, that gives this momma chills and tears. Needless to say, she was allowed to get dessert after dinner (ok, maybe TWO desserts).

What a brave girl and so understanding that it was wrong, she has a kind heart, I think it deserves dessert for a week.
