Zoe and I spent the day up in St. James, hoping to see our friends, Ian and Hannah. They are in town visiting with their grandparents and we were told they’d be at the park today. So, Dave dropped us off on his way to Farmington to see his folks.
It was a beautiful Ozarks Fall day and as much as we enjoyed Old Iron Works Days, I think we enjoyed exploring the state park more.
There is a trout sanctuary in the park and Zoe enjoyed spending her quarters on buying fish food and feeding them.
And of course, she had to try out the monkey bars - she’s really good at this!
We stopped at the beekeepers booth and she bought us some honey sticks to share on a hay bail. They were really yummy!
And then finally, at the end of the day, we ran into the Marler's on their way out of the park. The kids acted like they just saw each other yesterday, when in fact, it’s been about a year since they’ve seen each other. Ian is about a half an inch taller than Zoe still and she still showers him with hugs.
