My weekly updates from one of my parenting websites I visit now send the email update as "Your Pre-Schooler" - has she really grown out of the toddler stage already?
Things we hear around our house:
"Mom, where are you? I find you!"
"I find it!"
"Where Da? Dare he is"
"Sticky, please" (we've been getting frozen fruit popsicles for after lunch desserts)
She falls or does a stunt, gets up and proclaims "NICE!"
Unless she hurts herself, then it's "You fall? You ok? You hurt?"
"Whatchu doing, Da/Mom?" or "Whatchu doing here?"
"Come on, Mom/Da"
"Ready? Catch, ball!"
"I can't reach" followed by a grunt, usually.
"Don't worry"
and the one I'm most proud of... "ketch!" for ketchup.
She says so many more things and communicates very well with us.
She continues to sing and dance, along with playing her piano/desk that Pa and Nancy got her for her birthday.
We took her to her first movie today, she did pretty good. We were the only ones in the theatre and about half way through, the movie slowed a little and she needed a quick run around the theatre. After that, she either sat on my lap or in her own seat on the theatre booster seat. It was really fun. "Go see movie? Where movie? See movie?" We went and saw the new cartoon Ratatouille.
She enjoys her legos and gets very focussed while building. Her and her daddy build large towers during the day for me to see when I get home from work.
She plays a lot in her house. She's constantly moving "toys" in and out. Lately, it's been her furniture she's been trying to move into it. It gets so crammed, I don't know how she can move around in there.
She's been counting lately, too. "One, two, three, five, nine, TEN!" Sometimes she skips five if she's in a hurry.
She sleeps about half the week through the night and the other half, she wakes up and comes to find us. She falls back to sleep almost as soon as she gets the covers up to her face, I think sometimes she's walking in her sleep.
Her first 24 month molar just broke through the surface within the past week. I can only see her bottom right, doesn't look like the other bottom left came through yet. And good luck trying to see those top ones!
