Zoe Turns 21 Months Old

It's April and Zoe is 21 months old now. It's getting harder and harder to get posed pictures, she won't sit still long enough for a decent photo shoot any longer.

Her words are getting too numerous to list. She attempts to say just about everything we say, she's become a real copy-cat. She jabbers nonstop, always talking about something.

Favorite foods: tortilla pizza's, pasta, carrots, cheese, graham cracker bees, raisins/craisins, rice and lo mein.

Favorite books: Hop on Pop ("pat pat"), The Eye Book, Put Me in the Zoo - she attempts to read these books, as well. She turns the pages and knows what some pages say, she'll say "no no pat" for the page that has "No, Pat, No, don't sit on that" or "I see, I see" for "My eyes see, his eyes see". She loves all of her books and brings them one after another to her Daddy during the day to read to her. Once in a while, she'll bring me a few to read to her, too.

Favorite toys: Little Peoples, which she calls "me me" - not sure what that means or where she got that. She's got quite the little empire now of Little Peoples - some are new and some we've found 2nd hand. We found the farm on craigslist this past week and she LOVES it! She says "cow, horse, chicken, sheep, pig, Jed (for Farmer Jed)". She also loves her little kitchen and babydolls and stuffed animals. She buckles them into her highchair, her doll highchair and her doll stroller ("droll"). She gives them hugs and kisses ("chi") and puts them night night ("shhh baby seep"). She also likes her little race cars ("car") and her blocks ("bock").

Favorite friend: By far, her favorite little person is Ian Marler ("E"). Holy cow, she loves this kid! She's gotten to play with him several times the past few weeks. She tries to give him hugs and kisses, pats him on the back if he coughs, tries to help him sit down in her little chair, even tries to hold his sippy for him to drink while he's playing. He is learning to tolerate her and the last time they were together, he actually hugged her back. She's learning to share her toys, all except her Little People - she promptly moves those back to her bedroom if he tries to play with them.

Favorite things to do: Go on bike rides, Daddy has recently joined us on these rides and she's loving that. Last night I was trying to get her in her bike seat and she kept saying "where da where da?" - once he came outside to get his bike out, she let me put her in the seat. She loves to be outside, she got a new sandbox - one that's actually made for her to climb in and sit in as opposed to the table sandbox. In the mornings, her daddy takes her over to the little park to go down the slides ("side") and they go for a nice walk so she can ride her tricycle. She likes watching videos (she calls them "EIO"s) - she gets to watch a couple short ones throughout the day.

She's become such a helper. She wants to do whatever we're doing - help with the dishes, planting flowers, sweeping the patio, vacuuming the floors, folding the laundry, cleaning off the table, scrapbooking (of course, Mommy loves how she imitates her when she's working on the scrapbook), tinkering in the garage with tools, just about anything we're doing.

We've been uploading several videos lately since we have the new camera and don't forget to check out her picture album at kodak gallery. Both links are in the top right corner of this page.

Love,
Zoe's Mommy
