Zoe turned 18 months old a few days ago and had a great doctor's visit, no shot this time!

Some of her favorite things to do include: riding her bike (with her daddy pushing her and steering), riding her new 4-wheeler that Santa brought, climbing up into her highchair and snapping herself in, playing at her kitchen in the big kitchen, pushing her animals and dolls around in her shopping cart or laundry basket, shoving her stuffed animals into the little kitchen stove and refridgerator, playing with her Little People (tm), singing, chasing mommy or daddy or being chased by mommy or daddy (especially when it's in the middle of a diaper change), laying on the kitty (and getting in trouble for it), playing with her lego's, coloring (on the table), playing with playdough and helping with laundry and dishes.

Favorite foods right now are raisins, cheese, fig newtons, little tortilla pizza's (daddy's invention), pasta, carrots, pears (LOVES pears), muffins, fish, shrimp, goldfish (pizza flavored, in particular), wheat thins, quaker oat squares, banana's, yogurt, pudding. She loves to drink with a straw and does a very good job now, no more dribbling. She can drink out of a cup, but Mommy and Daddy prefer to use the sippy top to prevent messes. She has a strong opinion on what she wants to eat and drink and in what cup or which plate and has no trouble communicating that.

Zoe's vocabulary has increased again since last month. She's also added some more signs. She says "Please" and uses the appropriate sign (rubbing her belly). Sometimes, she wants something really badly, so she'll lift her shirt and rub her bare belly, thinking that's a more emphatic "please". It's hard to say no to that one. Usually she brings out the please when fig newtons are at stake. She uses phrases like "it's hot" and has a sign that she uses that's almost like a backwards wave and it's close to her mouth. Everything is hot, including the rain, things she's not supposed to touch, things that are cold, flavors she's unfamiliar with and actual hot things like candles.

She's also picked up the phrase "I know" and says this a lot. Sometimes, it varies to "oh no" - that happens if she wakes up in the middle of the night - instead of crying, she now says "oh no oh no oh no". I guess mommy and daddy say "I know" often when they are talking to her and don't really understand what she's saying - so now, she babbles and then answers herself with "I know" - and she's got a bit of a southern accent when she says it, it sounds like "ah know ah know".

She had a bit of the flu a few weeks ago, lasted an entire week. She vomitted for the first time in her life and that was no fun for her or Mommy and Daddy. It surprised her and scared her - and since it first happened in the bathtub, she's been more hesitant to take her once loved baths.

Bedtime is usually around 9:30, we start settling down and giving night-night kisses at 9. And she'll typically sleep until 6:30 or 7am. She takes 1 nap a day, that usually follows lunch and a walk outside. She still wakes up occasionally during the night but once comforted, she goes back to sleep.

I enjoyed reading her stats, She is sure a well rounded little girl with a mind of her own, with that lastest smile I could see a bit of Dave there. Enjoy every minute.
